The Essential Guide for Freelancers

Are you new to freelancing, thinking about freelancing or just want to know more about freelancing?

This FREE guide will answer all your questions and give you guidance on how to set up as a freelancer, how to find work and how the tax system works for freelancers.

Heres a little snippet from the guide:

Setting up as a Sole Trader

As a freelancer, setting yourself up as a sole trader is the simplest way in which you can trade.
In order to legally register as a sole trader, you’ll need to fill in a CWF1 form within three months
of starting the business. It is imperative that sole traders do this so the HMRC (HM Revenue &
Customs) can send you quarterly bills for Class 2 National Insurance ensuring that your state
pension is not affected in any way.

You’ll also need to:
• Keep all client invoices and expense receipts for six years
• Keep a full record of the money you have earned each year – it’s a good idea to do this from
day one as you’ll need the figures for end of year accounts..........

Easy Accountancy is the UK’s only national specialist accountancy firm for freelancers, sole traders and small businesses

If you’ve just started out as a freelancer or run a small business, you’ll definitely need a small accountant and there are plenty of options out there! However, most accountants will charge you every time you get in touch with them; for every phone call, email or meeting.
