My client is a global consultancy who are looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join them on an initial 6 month contract to help out with designing, developing and maintaining custom code for all ServiceNow Modules

ServiceNow Developer


  • Design, develop, and maintain custom code for all ServiceNow modules

  • Analyses user requirements and current procedures in order to design and develop new automated process workflows within the ServiceNow environment

  • Create technical architecture, design and user guide documentation

  • Gather requirements, design, develop, and maintain application integration with any third-party applications

  • Design and develop ServiceNow modules in support of SLA and reporting requirements

  • Works with internal process managers and ServiceNow administrators to implement and support all ServiceNow modules

  • At least four (4) years of relevant ServiceNow development experience in an enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of core ITIL processes (CMDB, Incident, Problem, and Change) Ø6+ years of experience working with ITSM solutions in an enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of system design and development used within web service or message-based applications (eg REST/SOAP)

  • Configuring and managing Discovery and Orchestration application elements

  • Hands on experience on modules like ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, Service Portal and Scoped applications

  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM project management methodologies

  • Experience with AJAX, Jelly, or PERL Scripting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of database design and table interaction within the ServiceNow environment

  • Experience talking to customers to get business requirements, understanding challenges and translating those into working solutions

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL and other such technologies

  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow and good experience in doing customisation in UI Pages/UI Macro/Jelly Scripting/JavaScript etc.

  • Need to identify the Subject Matter Experts (SME) for particular issues, skill-sets of the technical resources and understand the workload each resource can handle.

  • Strong process management & project management skills Preferred Requirements:

  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification

  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification

  • Experience working with ServiceNow domains
